The Standing Committee

The PCC must have a standing committee of not less than five persons.  The minister and churchwardens are ex officio members, the others being appointed by the PCC.  The standing committee is empowered to transact the business of the PCC between PCC meetings subject to any directions given by the PCC.

Membership 2010:

Co-ordinator: Valerie Farthing (PCC Lay chair)

Ex  Officio members: Ann Moorin, David Jowett, Fred Carr, Genny Tunbridge, Mavis Yorke.
Secretary: Anette Cole.

The Standing Committee is responsible for ensuring that All Saints’ has the resources to: support and manage its responsibilities as an employer; maintain and develop the church and hall buildings and facilities; set the budget; support the work of the different sub groups of the PCC. It seeks approval from the PCC whenever appropriate and has the delegated authority to transact business between PCC meetings.

The committee meets regularly and a report is given at each PCC meeting. PCC members also receive the Notes of each meeting and have reports on the fabric, buildings, financial position and the budget.

The Standing Committee tries to meet every month.
