Weddings

To book a wedding please contact our Parish Administrator on 0191 213 0450 or email post@allsaints-gosforth.org.uk.

If you would like to get married at All Saints we will work hard to ensure your wedding day is a very happy one and that your marriage begins on the firmest foundations.

You will be invited to make your formal promises to each other, in front of your family and friends and in the sight of God and with God’s blessing.

Preparation

We will help you to prepare for your marriage thoughtfully, practically, emotionally and spiritually, through meetings with officiating clergy before your wedding. Your service will be as personal as we can make it, bearing in mind legal requirements and the fact the church is in use for public worship.

Who can be married at All Saints Gosforth?

You can be married at All Saints if you qualify in one of three ways.

If one or both of you live in the parish.

If one or both of you have been habitual worshippers at the church for at least six months.

If one or both of you have a historic connection with the parish.

Our Parish Administrator can provide further information.

Divorcees

If one or both of you has been divorced then the clergy will want to discuss how we might help you. If the clergy are happy to marry you then you can be married under the same qualifying conditions as above.

Non-Christians

If one of you belongs to another faith which is not Christian, then it may still be possible for you to get married at All Saints Gosforth, but you must have the normal Christian service authorised by the Church of England.

Blessings

Please also get in contact if you wish to have a blessing following on from a civil marriage.
