Gardening Group

All Saints’ Gardening Group and The Friends of the Garden of Remembrance.

All Saints’ Church benefits from an attractive situation with wide grass verges to the north and east, a large green to the west and a Garden of Remembrance to the south. This setting is enhanced by a variety of mature trees.

All Saints’ Garden of Remembrance is important for two reasons. It is a place for the ashes of loved ones to be interred and a haven for those who seek a quiet corner in Gosforth to mourn, reflect, pray and hopefully regain strength. People are drawn to the peace and beauty of our Garden of Remembrance.

Our gardeners weed beds, mow lawns, maintain paths and grow, prune and care for the plants. They have created a lovely place which is a great asset to the people of Gosforth. The hard work of our gardeners and grass cutting team who generously give up their time is appreciated by our church and Gosforth residents.

Our team of gardeners are drawn from our congregation and from the wider community in Gosforth. The group usually meet between 9.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month. If you would like to come along to help, we would be very pleased to see you. We have a short mid-morning tea break.

Should you wish to volunteer please send an e-mail to post@allsaints-gosforth.org.uk or telephone the church office tel. 0191 2130450.
